Paraffin Wax Treatments

Physicians, Physiotherapists and Arthritis specialists, have recommended Paraffin Wax therapy since 1962, and although it is probably one of the most under-rated treatments, it is now making a comeback.

The warm paraffin is one of the most effective ways of applying heat to reduce the swelling in muscles, decrease inflammation of joints and connective tissues, soothe the pain from arthritis and improve circulation.

The treatments start with the cleansing of the hands/feet.

The warm liquid is applied slowly and gently until a layer sets over the skin and then the process is repeated till a few layers of wax has built up. This keeps the hands/feet warm and soothes the tissues.

The hand/foot is then placed in a plastic bag to keep the warmth and moisture in close to the skin. Then the hands/feet are place in insulated gloves/boots and the client is left to relax and unwind.

After a short while the glove/boot is removed, along with the bag and all of the wax to reveal a soft and refreshed hand/foot.

The treatment is rounded off with a rich moisturizer massaged gently into the hands and feet.

Truly relaxing and very comforting.
